The Los Angeles Lakers actually did it.
They drafted Bronny James with the 55th overall selection in yesterday’s NBA Draft.
Lebron James and his son will finally get to play together.
While social media and reporters all over the place are losing their minds over the selection, people are now wondering what type of player Bronny James can become under new head coach JJ Redick.
Lakers GM Rob Pelinka recently chatted about that in front of the media.
“JJ Redick and his staff are already putting a plan together for Bronny and how they want to develop him into an elite two-way player,” Pelinka stated.

Despite playing just one season of college ball and averaging under five points per game while at USC, Bronny James has a lot of the characteristics that the Lakers like.
As Pelinka noted, he is a high-character guy with a great work ethic.
The development will come with the intangibles and the potential that the 6-2 guard possesses.
The former McDonald’s All-American player now will get a chance to be around some other brilliant basketball minds.
Yes, his father is the league’s all-time leading scorer and arguably the greatest player ever.
But head coach JJ Redick played in the NBA for 15 years after being one of the best college players in America during his time too.
If Bronny James can soak up the knowledge from the two most important faces in the Lakers’ organization currently, with his abilities, he has the chance to become a really good player in the league.
