It’s one thing to make it to the NFL, but it’s a whole different thing to actually have a long and successful career.

A lot of times, it’s not even up to the players.

An injury, bad luck, or being mismanaged can lead to the end of a promising career.

Notably, Robert Griffin III knows a thing or two about that as he went through all those things.

Griffin was one of the most electric players in the nation and looked poised to become a superstar, but the Washington Redskins (now Commanders) put him in harm’s way and failed to protect him.

His career was never the same after his gruesome injury, up to the point where he’s now out of the league.

However, if he had an opportunity to get a contract in the league, he would take it in the blink of an eye.

With that in mind, he recently admitted that he would love to get a deal with either the Houston Texans or the Dallas Cowboys because he wouldn’t have to move and relocate his family, via his podcast.

Then again, he knows that both teams are locked in with their starters for the future, with C.J. Stroud looking like a superstar in the making, and Dak Prescott on the verge of signing a record-breaking contract extension.

It’ll always be sad to think about what could’ve been of Griffin’s career.

His days at Baylor and his first steps in the league were remarkable and exciting, and we’ll now have to settle for watching him as an analyst instead.
