The Minnesota Vikings need to solve their quarterback situation.
Kirk Cousins is now a free agent, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see multiple teams try to make a run at him.
Several analysts have warned the Vikings against spending big bucks on keeping Cousins in town, especially considering the fact that they also need to save up to get Justin Jefferson the contract he wants and deserve.
Notably, that’s not the case with former NFL QB Robert Griffin III.

Recently, the former Heisman winner stated that Minnesota continues to be the best place for Cousins, adding that no other QB-needy team is closer to Super Bowl contention than the Vikings.
While he doesn’t think the Vikings are Super Bowl contenders now, he acknowledged that Cousins is already familiar with the personnel and the offense, is a fan favorite in the Twin Cities, and was playing the best football of his career before suffering a season-ending injury.
Granted, Cousins isn’t getting any younger and won’t likely have that much left in the tank at this point in his career, and he might be more expensive than the Vikings would want to pay.
However, Griffin still believes both parties need to figure things out.
Cousins has already talked about his desire to be a Viking until the final day of his career, and the fans might not complain about that either.
Even so, this is going to be a complicated situation, and the front office will definitely hope that the veteran QB throws them a bone in the negotiations.
