As the NFL season starts to get underway here, it is fascinating to think about which coaches are at the top of the field as things stand right now.
Who are the best head coaches when it comes to preparing their teams to play every week?
Which head coaches get the best results?
Former Pro Bowl quarterback and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III recently posted the top five head coaches in the league from his point of view on social media.
In order, he has Andy Reid as his best head coach followed by John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Dan Campbell, and Kyle Shanahan.

It is hard to argue with a lot of his choices given what they have done in recent history.
Andy Reid will eventually be on his way to Canton, Ohio because of what he has done throughout his legendary coaching career, and that includes the three Super Bowls that he has won in Kansas City.
John Harbaugh is another Super Bowl-winning head coach who has won over 170 career games in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens.
Mike Tomlin, once again another Super Bowl-winning head coach, has never had a losing season in his 17 years as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell hasn’t won a Super Bowl as a head coach, but he has turned the Lions around in just three years by going from three wins in his first year to 12 and an NFC Championship appearance last season.
Kyle Shanahan has made the San Francisco 49ers perennial Super Bowl contenders seemingly every year seeing as they have either made the NFC Championship Game or the Super Bowl in four of the last five seasons.
Griffin’s list is extremely hard to argue with.
