On Wednesday, the Buffalo Bills made a huge move by trading star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for a second-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

Going back to the end of the 2022 season, it had been rumored that Diggs was unhappy with the Bills and quarterback Josh Allen, and as a result, many speculated that his days with the team were numbered.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III took to Twitter to shut down a common narrative that Diggs wasn’t targeted as much late in the season and that Allen even wasn’t looking to involve him, noting that the receiver led the team by a wide margin with 160 targets last season.

The Diggs rumors only intensified when the Bills started last season 6-6, but afterward, they ended the regular season with a five-game winning streak, which gave them first place in the AFC East.

But they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs by three points in the Divisional round of the playoffs when Tyler Bass missed a late field goal that would’ve tied the game.

On the season, Diggs had 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns, but during Buffalo’s late winning streak, he went over 50 yards just once.

Buffalo will now have to figure out how to maintain an offense that has been among the league’s elite the last four seasons without a man who made the Pro Bowl in each of those seasons with them.

Meanwhile, the Texans are starting to look like a serious contender.

They have added Diggs, running back Joe Mixon, and pass rusher Danielle Hunter to a young and rising team that already won 10 games and the AFC South title last season.
