The Washington Wizards got who most people considered to be the best player in this draft.
For undisclosed reasons, Alex Sarr refused to work out for the Atlanta Hawks.
They decided to go with fellow Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher, allowing Sarr to head to the nation’s capital with the No. 2 pick.
Notably, former Washington Redskins — now Commanders — star Robert Griffin III was quite hyped about his former city’s team.

He broke down some of Sarr’s tape and claimed that they were getting a dominant rim protector.
Griffin III also showed a couple of clips of Sarr excelling offensively out of the pick-and-roll, knocking down a wide-open three-pointer and then getting an easy dunk.
Sarr might have the highest upside out of all of the players in this class.
At worst, we could be looking at one of the best defensive players in the game, as he has great defensive instincts in the restricted area, but he also knows how to make the most of his length and lateral quickness to either stay in front of smaller players on the perimeter or recover if he’s beaten by a quicker player.
His offensive game is still a work in progress, but he’s shown improvements and willingness to take shots from the perimeter, which is a must in today’s game.
The worst-case scenario is that we could be looking at something close to Myles Turner.
