A lot of talking heads on sports shows these days say things that will create a buzz, whether it’s good or bad, as it is all about ratings these days, with a lot of these big-name analysts making millions of dollars per year.
Former NFL star Robert Griffin III may have put himself in that category of saying something wild on live TV in order to get a rise out of people, as he now covers college football and dropped a one-liner on Saturday about an NBA star.
While amping up his former school, Baylor University, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2011, Griffin took a shot at Miami Heat star point guard Kyle Lowry via NBA Central.

Griffin said, “I’m getting in the thick of it like Kyle Lowry.”
The former Heisman Trophy winner is obviously taking a shot at Lowry’s weight, as the Heat star can sometimes be on the heavy side during his NBA career.
The strangest part about this is that it is simultaneously totally unprompted and pretty cold.
The real question is whether this came right off the top of his head or if he planned to take a shot at Lowry for whatever reason.
Either way, this will certainly get back to the Heat guard at some point, and it’ll be interesting to see if he takes a shot back at Griffin.
Lowry is likely gearing up for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season, with training camps for all 30 teams set to get underway in a few weeks.
