With former NFL star Robert Griffin III being shown the door at ESPN, he’s going to have some more free time on his hands.
That doesn’t mean he’s just going to stop sharing content.
If anything, he’s going to double down on his efforts to record and spread his podcast.
Notably, it seems like he’s going to have a new co-host as well.
His wife, Grete Griffin, recently took to Twitter to announce that she would be joining him on his ‘Outta Pocket’ podcast.
So excited and blessed for this new opportunity to drop a podcast with my husband! Women know sports and can talk it tooFirst full episode of Outta Pocket with RGIII drops tomorrow morning Like, Subscribe, and turn on your notifications now!! https://t.co/QeBgW9q6iL pic.twitter.com/XvmPxhjLDa

She argues that women also know sports, so she’s there to share her insights and thoughts on everything that revolves around sports.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, and she wouldn’t be the first to do this.
Also, women deserve a bigger platform in the sports industry as well, so props to the Griffins for doing their part here.
As for getting back on television, it seems like nothing is imminent for the former Washington Redskins — now Commanders — star.
Griffin was let go just before the start of the football year, reportedly due to his big salary, as ESPN is still looking to trim its payroll and reduce costs almost to a minimum.
Even so, given his experience on the field and in the booth, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Baylor product getting back on the screen at some point in the future.
