We’re entering a new era in New England Patriots history.
Robert Kraft moved on from Bill Belichick after two decades at the helm, and judging by everything that has transpired ever since, it seems like their relationship had reached a breaking point for quite a while.
Kraft reportedly resented Belichick for running Tom Brady out of town, up to the point where he even reportedly reached out to Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank to warn him not to trust Belichick.
Nonetheless, it seems like that might all be water under the bridge now.
During Tom Brady’s roast, Kraft actually toasted to Belichick, calling him the greatest head coach in NFL history, and stating that having him and Brady was the greatest honor the Lord gave him (via Netflix).

Whatever the case, and regardless of the reason, it was a heartwarming moment for Patriots fans, as those two shared a partnership for so long for things to end the way they did.
Both Kraft and Belichick have a long history.
Then again, that’s what happens when you spend that much time working with the same people.
All families fight and most of them work through their stuff, even if takes a roast and some alcohol to bury the hatchet.
