The New York Jets have a strong roster in place.

They spent plenty of resources signing free agents to load up on both sides of the ball.

But, one spot where they struggle is at quarterback.

You can strongly argue that quarterback play was why the Jets did not make the playoffs last year.

The two main starters the Jets had last season were Zach Wilson and Mike White.

Both started in multiple games last season, with Wilson leading the way with nine starts.

Yet, as we enter the 2023 season, the Jets have their eyes set on only one man at quarterback.

That is Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers made it clear that he wants to play for the Jets, and New York wants him.

It is just a matter of the two sides agreeing to terms on a deal.

This deal has been in the works for a while, but there has not been an agreement yet.

But, Jets head coach Robert Saleh is not panicking.

According to Rob Demovsky, Saleh is confident that everything will work out.

“I’m not hitting the panic button … I’m confident that things are going to work out.”

Simply put, the Jets have to make this deal happen.

Anything less than Rodgers being their quarterback would cause problems with the Jets fanbase.

Plus, the New York media will not be kind to the team if they can not get this deal done.

Adding Rodgers to the Jets would give them a chance in the AFC.

They would not be the favorites, but at worst they should be a playoff team and legitimate AFC East contenders.
