The final couple of years with the Green Bay Packers didn’t necessarily reflect the best part of his skills as a leader.
Rodgers often made things about himself, and some often questioned his attitude and character when it came to the team, his teammates, or how he handled himself as a whole.
That’s why some were concerned about how he would deal with a new environment, a younger team, and a ruthless media now that he’s moved to New York.
However, so far, so good for the multi-time MVP, who looks like an entirely different person and has embraced a leadership role with the New York Jets, according to Head Coach Robert Saleh.
In his latest appearance on FanDuel’s Up & Adams, Saleh talked about how Rodgers has looked to be connected and has a legit interest in every single person that has come across him within the organization, stating that his leadership has gone beyond the field.
“Not just his teammates, but coaches, to the cafeteria, to marketing… he just wants to be connected.”

Notably, Rodgers has been spotted hanging out with his new teammates since being traded, and he even agreed to restructure his contract to help the team out for the foreseeable future, stating that he intends to be there for years to come.
Rodgers knows that this is an opportunity to prove his doubters wrong on and off the field, and he’s taking that approach.
He can prove that he can be a leader on and off the field, as opposed to the narcissistic guy that many have portrayed him to be over the past couple of years.
