The New York Jets are one of the most talked-about teams in the NFL right now for countless reasons.
Obviously, adding Aaron Rodgers to the mix elevated their floor and ceiling drastically, but they’re not done or satisfied just yet.
Besides Rodgers, the Jets could also lure perennial Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook to Gotham, as he continues to be a free agent.
When asked about it, HC Robert Saleh called him a “great young man” who’s had plenty of success in the league, adding that second-year RB Breece Hall looks great, according to Eric Allen of Jets 360 Productions.
Robert Saleh says the @nyjets interest in Dalvin Cook has nothing to do with Breece Hall’s recovery.
‘Breece looms fantastic. He’s trending in the right direction.’

Of course, that doesn’t say a lot, and it was just another politically correct answer.
Then again, it’s worth noting that Cook recently admitted that his next destination will most likely be in the AFC East.
And with both the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots showing an interest in acquiring his services, the Jets would be wise to make sure that’s not the case.
Needless to say, Hall is the undisputed No. 1 back when healthy, but it’s hard to think of a better insurance policy or change-of-pace back than Cook, let alone the fact that you won’t have to gameplan to face him twice per season.
The Jets have plenty of talent on both sides of the field, but they should spare no expenses or leave anything to chance, as their Super Bowl window might not be open for as long as they’d want.
