While the New York Jets appear to have what it takes, at least on paper, to go far in the playoffs and possibly even challenge for a spot in the Super Bowl, a lot can go wrong for them as well.
They have already had some drama, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers missed mandatory minicamp several weeks ago and new linebacker Haason Reddick has asked to be traded due to his contract situation.
More recently, the team dealt with a happening that was more strange than anything.
As head coach Robert Saleh was answering a question about the Carolina Panthers, whom the Jets have been holding joint practices with, his response was interrupted by some percussion beats from the Panthers’ house band, per reporter Paul Andrew Esden Jr.
The middle of #Jets HC Robert Saleh’s press conference was highjacked by the @Panthers ‘Purrcussion Drumline.’
I’m not sure if @eallenjets ever got the full answer to his question lol

The Jets will play the Panthers in their second preseason game after defeating the Washington Commanders 20-17 in the opener.
Saleh’s regulars didn’t play in that first preseason game, and it is unlikely Rodgers will play against Carolina.
Rodgers, of course, is working his way back from the torn Achilles he suffered on New York’s first offensive series of last season.
New York does have a talented roster, with two stars at wide receiver in Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams, a rising star running back in Breece Hall, and a talented defense.
Even their offensive line, which was poor last year, could be somewhat improved thanks to the addition of tackle Tyron Smith, an eight-time Pro Bowler.
But the Jets will have to limit their drama and bad fortune in order to finally have what they would deem a successful season.
