After a few years of struggling as a bottom-tier team in the Western Conference, the Houston Rockets headed into this NBA offseason on a mission to right the ship sooner rather than later.

The Rockets made a huge move very early in their offseason by bringing in Ime Udoka to replace Stephen Silas as the team’s new head coach, which showed Houston is serious about winning as soon as possible.

Along with hiring Udoka, who will likely change the culture in Houston immediately, the team has been aggressive in NBA free agency, with the Rockets bringing in some proven veterans.

One of those veteran signings was landing forward Jeff Green, who is fresh off an NBA title with the Denver Nuggets.

The Rockets made the signing official on their Twitter account on Friday.

Few players in NBA history have played for as many teams as Green has during his time in the league, which spans back to 2007 when he was drafted by the Boston Celtics and traded to the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder in the deal involving Hall of Famer Ray Allen.

Green has been on 11 teams during his NBA career, and now he’s going back to Houston for a second stint with the Rockets, which gives them another savvy veteran with championship experience.

Obviously, the addition of Green isn’t a game-changer for Houston, but it helps as they try to make some noise in the Western Conference moving forward, with Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks being the two major signings this NBA offseason.
