There will be three top-shelf wide receiver prospects in this year’s potential-rich NFL Draft: Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze.

Most feel Harrison is the best prospect at that position, but Odunze may not be that far behind.

The University of Washington star is not only a unique player, but he has a unique name, and he said his father gave him the first name “Rome” because his father is a history buff who is a big fan of the Roman Empire, per NFL on ESPN.

Plenty of pundits feel Odunze could end up having an NFL career that will be worthy of being named after one of mankind’s greatest and most powerful civilizations.

He caught 81 passes for 1,428 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, and he took Washington all the way to the College Football Playoff National Championship, where it lost to the University of Michigan.

Odunze is thought to be an excellent route runner and possesses the ability to make catches in traffic, and he has a very solid 6-foot-3, 215-pound build that will allow him to get physical with opposing defensive backs.

He doesn’t have blazing speed, but his hands are perhaps his greatest asset, and he rarely drops passes.

The good thing about this draft is that if a team trades down from the top 5-7 picks, they may still be able to nab Odunze just before the midway point of the first round.
