The Atlanta Braves secured a very important series victory on Tuesday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Early home runs off of Steven Matz certainly helped the team, but there was some solid defense as well.
Ronald Acuna Jr. made a few solid plays out in right field.
The most critical play in the game came in the bottom of the seventh inning when Brendan Donovan smacked a base-hit into right field.
With the speedy Tyler O’Neill rounding third base, Acuna delivered a strike to the plate for the final out of the inning.
On Twitter, MLB posted a video of the highlight, showing Acuna make the throw to nab O’Neill at the plate.

The Cardinals had a chance to cash in on an opportunity, but it was quickly put to rest by Acuna’s strong arm.
As it turned out, O’Neill never had a chance and was out by several steps.
But Acuna’s arm is one of the best aspects of his game.
He can certainly hit and run the bases.
He can also make some solid plays in the outfield.
But his arm was on full display on Tuesday against St. Louis.
He had previously thrown out Willson Contreras when he tried to stretch a single into a double.
But he was back at it again in the seventh and cut down one of the fastest runners in the game with an absolute strike to the plate.
Atlanta ultimately won the game by a final of 4-1 and are now in a position to pull off a sweep on Wednesday.
