The Los Angeles Clippers put together a ‘Big Four,’ adding James Harden to their already impressive core of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard.

Needless to say, that puts them in a privileged position in the Western Conference, and they could be one of the strongest contenders if they’re able to get it together.

Nonetheless, Westbrook wanted to pull the brakes on all the hype, reminding everyone that it will take time for Harden to make the necessary adjustments to the team, adding that it’s a process and there will be some bad games and good games along the way (via Yahoo Sports and Ball Don’t Lie).

Even so, we wouldn’t expect it to take a long time before Harden gets a feel of Tyronn Lue’s offense.

He’s played with Westbrook on two different teams and under two different coaches already.

He also adapted swiftly and promptly to the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, and he’s pretty much a plug-and-play kind of offensive payer.

Still, the Clippers have some things to figure out.

There are too many factors in play, but Lue is one of the best coaches in the game, and Harden has proven that he can buy into a team-first kind of mentality — at least for a while.

All teams go through tough stretches, but we wouldn’t be too worried about the Clippers, assuming they’re able to stay healthy.
