Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Clippers is soaking up every minute of his summer vacation but he is still enjoying basketball.

The Clippers’ Twitter account posted videos of Westbrook from his youth basketball camp, including one that had a special message for fans of the team.

Addressing “Clipper Nation,” Westbrook said how excited he is for the new season and how he’s looking forward to a “great year,” promising that the team will “turn up again.”

He looked happy and ready to play, which is a big relief to LA fans.

Westbrook has only played in 21 games for the Clippers since signing with them in February.

It’s been a promising start.

He has averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 assists since joining the Clippers.

However, he had even more of an impact during the playoffs, when he posted 23.6 points and was perhaps the most important part of the team.

That team was depleted because of injuries yet again but Westbrook played his heart out and impressed many fans.

Now they are wondering what he can do with a full Clippers lineup featuring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Yet, there are many questions about the team ever being truly 100% healthy again.

Although Westbrook appears happy with his team, that wasn’t always the case.

For much of his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook felt out of place and sometimes didn’t look like the right fit.

There were reports of him arguing with the coaching staff about his role within the team.

Ultimately, this led to a parting of ways between Westbrook and the Lakers.

But he has now moved to the other end of Crypto.com Arena and seems to be much more content there.
