The Pittsburgh Steelers have something they haven’t had since Ben Roethlisberger’s final couple of years, which is a starting-caliber quarterback.
The Steelers have struggled at the position since Roethlisberger’s age finally caught up with him, and while they have still been able to stay competitive because of their elite coaching and defense, they clearly need to make a move.
That’s why they made a statement by pursuing both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in the offseason.
And while most people believe it will be an open competition for the job and both players will have a chance to get the nod, Wilson seems to have an edge early on.
Considering that, it only makes sense that the former Super Bowl champion looks to get on the fans’ good side.
With that in mind, he made a big appearance by showing up to the Zac Brown Band concert and giving away his jersey on stage.

Wilson was once one of the most respected quarterbacks in the game, but he has had two bad years in a row.
Some believe this might be his final shot to prove that he’s still a starting-caliber player in the National Football League, which is crazy if you consider that he was posting MVP-caliber numbers just three years ago.
The Steelers just need him to play mistake-free football and be efficient to be a legitimate dark horse to come out of the AFC North Division, and he’ll have a huge chip on his shoulder from the very start of the season.
