Despite losing to the New England Patriots last week, the Denver Broncos are still in the hunt to make the playoffs.
With this in mind, one might assume they would stick with Russell Wilson, the player they invested heavily in.
While conventional wisdom might tell fans one thing, the Broncos appear to be going in a different direction.
Reports have surfaced about Wilson being cut when the season concludes, which he has recently responded to.
Wilson didn’t have much to say about these reports, saying, “God’s got me. Looking forward to what’s next.”
God’s got me.
Looking forward to what’s next.

If there was any doubt from fans surrounding the validity of these claims, Wilson seemingly quieted them.
At times in his NFL career, Wilson has been an MVP candidate.
He helped the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl in 2013-14, one of the most defining moments in his career.
The Broncos thought his career experience might jumpstart this team, but unfortunately, their investment has not paid out in their eyes.
Wilson does not seem to be part of their plans heading into the 2024 season.
They will either have to draft a quarterback from what is said to be a deep class, or they will have to try again with another free agent.
Either way, something had to give for this team moving forward; for now, Wilson was the scapegoat.
As mentioned in the above tweet, he is excited about his future.
Whether that is a young retirement or another team taking a chance on the 35-year-old quarterback, fans must wait and see Wilson’s next move.
