The Denver Broncos were far from the team everybody expected them to be in 2022.
And while Nathaniel Hackett had plenty to do with that, Russell Wilson’s inexplicable regression is also to blame.
That’s why the former Super Bowl champion has taken things personally this time.
According to a report by 9news.com, Wilson was one of the first players to arrive at the Broncos facility to get his work started already.
Multiple members of the organization reported Tuesday for conditioning, weight lifting, and physicals ahead of their offseason training program, and Wilson was visually locked in and focused.
Grateful for New Beginnings.
All things New!

Wilson led the team to a mediocre 5-12 record with 16 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions, posting a passer rating of 84.4.
Now, he’ll play for a future Hall of Fame coach in Sean Payton and with a much-improved offensive line unit, so there’s no more room for excuses at Mile High.
The Broncos brought in some top-of-the-line assistants in Vance Joseph, Ben Kowtica, and Joe Lombardi, and they’ve held on to WR duo Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, contrary to popular belief.
Their defense was elite for the better part of the season, so there’s no reason to think this team can’t bounce back and live up to the expectations, even if it’s a year later, and in arguably the toughest division in all of the National Football League.
Once again, it’ll mostly hinge on whether Wilson can be back to being the guy he was in Seattle or if his best years are far behind him already.
