The Denver Broncos just survived a huge scare with star QB Russell Wilson.

The talented gunslinger was involved in a scary golf-related incident over the weekend, making the rounds all over the internet.

The former Super Bowl champion was playing at Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton, Colorado, when his golf car flipped over near a bunker in one of the most bizarre and inexplicable golf-related incidents we’ve seen in quite a while.

Fortunately, there were no injuries after this incident, and Wilson recently took to Twitter to crack a laugh about it.

The real question is did we get from the bunker to the green #PAR

Of course, the internet didn’t run short on “let’s ride” jokes, and you know that’ll be a common subject every time the Broncos fail to win next season.

Wilson will have to take a step forward in his second season at Mile High after a disappointing first year away from the Seahawks.

His team finished just 5-12 and at the bottom of the AFC West despite having one of the most stacked rosters on both sides of the field.

Wilson threw for 16 touchdowns with 11 picks in 15 appearances for the team, performing far below the standards he set for the first decade of his career, and looking out of sync with his wideouts for the most part of the season.

Now, he’ll get to work with veteran coach Sean Payton to try and straighten the ship after such a disappointing season, so he better takes more care of himself when he’s out there playing golf.
