For the first time in Denver Nuggets history, they can brag about being NBA champions.
Denver might not be the biggest sports town in the U.S., but they still have a passionate fan base and have been used to having at least one competitive franchise more often than not.
That has been particularly true with the Denver Broncos, undoubtedly the most popular team in Colorado, which is why Russell Wilson, Ciara, and the whole Wilson household were in attendance to watch them crown themselves as NBA champions.
Such a special moment!

Wilson took to Twitter to show his love and support for the Nuggets organization, showing a heartwarming picture of the whole family in Nuggets apparel.
Notably, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and company will now hope that Wilson pays them back by putting them in a similar position next season.
The Broncos went to great lengths to acquire him and have now doubled down on that investment by bringing HC Sean Payton back from retirement, and they have a deep enough roster to make a Super Bowl run next season.
The AFC West is as tough as it’s always been, but the Broncos boast an elite defense, and their offense should look much better after a disappointing season in 2022.
Wilson was one of the most — if not the most — disappointing stars in the league, especially considering the huge contract extension he signed before the start of the campaign.
Now, all eyes will be set on him, and there will be no more margin for error.
