A couple of years ago, the relationship between superstar quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks appeared to be strained, with the franchise trading the future Hall of Famer to the Denver Broncos in a questionable move.
After the Seahawks traded Wilson to the Broncos, the trade looked much better for Seattle, with the superstar clearly losing a step or two in Denver and Carroll’s squad bouncing back immediately with a playoff berth with veteran Geno Smith under center.
However, both the Broncos and Seahawks missed the NFL playoffs this year, with some drastic changes happening for both teams, with Wilson getting benched and Carroll losing his job as head coach in Seattle.
Even though there seemed to be bad blood between Wilson and Carroll, the Broncos quarterback made a point of taking to Twitter to praise the former Seahawks head coach for an incredible coaching career.
One of the Greatest Ever.
“Keep Shooting” Coach.
Grateful for the memories. @PeteCarroll

In the end, it appears that Wilson at least acknowledges Carroll’s greatness as a head coach, and it’s safe to say that the legendary head coach would do the same for his former player when his playing career comes to an end.
Interestingly enough, the careers of these two head in different directions at the same time, as Wilson might not be back in Denver and could be looking for work while Carroll takes on a new role in Seattle with his coaching days officially coming to an end.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for Wilson and Carroll moving forward, as their lives and careers in the NFL will never be the same.
