There is a developing story involving the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, starting quarterback Russell Wilson is dealing with calf tightness and was limited in practice.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Wilson is going to be evaluated.
This is not exactly the kind of news Steelers fans were hoping for as Sunday’s season opener inches closer.

Wilson arrived after being released by the Denver Broncos this offseason and is looking to get back to his old self.
However, the Steelers also traded for former first-round quarterback Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears.
So, the good news is that they do have a quality backup if Wilson cannot go Sunday.
The reason this isn’t exactly great news for Steelers fans, though, is because Wilson dealt with injury issues for much of the preseason.
A nine-time Pro Bowl selection and a Super Bowl champion, Wilson’s career has fallen off over the past few years.
The Broncos were 11-19 in the games he started for Denver and is looking to regain some of the magic he once displayed with the Seattle Seahawks.
He can’t do that if he is battling injuries all the time.
The 35-year-old needs to stay healthy for Pittsburgh to contend for the playoffs.
With the help of a talented defense and some quality skill pieces on offense, the Steelers could be in great shape with competent quarterback play, which is where they are counting on Wilson to step up.
