Once your teammates start losing confidence in you, you can consider yourself done in the NFL.
That’s why Dak Prescott needs to make sure that doesn’t happen in what might be his final opportunity to prove the doubters wrong.
The early returns in training camp were disastrous, and some believe his teammates don’t respect him enough anymore.
That’s why Ryan Clark believes he needs to make the most of Trey Lance’s arrival to send the locker room a message, via “Get Up” on ESPN.

Per Clark, he needs to embrace Lance and lead by example to show that he’s the guy the team needs in charge of things.
The sole fact that the Cowboys decided to trade for Lance says a lot.
Jerry Jones has never shied away from controversies, and he has even fueled plenty of those himself with his words and actions.
This lets everybody know that he’s having second thoughts about Prescott’s future with the organization.
Lance has struggled to find his footing in the league, losing his job to three different quarterbacks during his days in the Bay Area.
But even if he hasn’t found success yet, he’s just 23 years old, and the fact that he’s there should put Prescott under a lot of pressure.
That’s when leaders rise to the occasion and prove themselves to the world, while those who aren’t cut out to do that just crumble and get overwhelmed.
Now, it’ll be up to him to get another chance and hold onto his starting job or allow the team to finally move on from him.
