The NFL officially got back to work on the football field, with the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans going head-to-head in the Hall of Fame Game, which unfortunately didn’t finish due to weather conditions in the area.
With the opener in the books, every team in the league will continue with their training camp in preparation for preseason games moving forward, meaning the start of the 2024 NFL regular season is right around the corner, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs kicking things off against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5.
As the start of the 2024 campaign draws near, former NFL player turned ESPN analyst Ryan Clark gave three bold predictions for the upcoming season and what he thinks might happen this year in the league.
Clark sees the Texans going to the AFC Championship Game, rookie Jayden Daniels emulating C.J. Stroud, and Justin Fields beating out Russell Wilson and leading the Pittsburgh Steelers back into the NFL playoffs, via Dov Kleiman.
Ryan Clark gives three bold predictions for the 2024 NFL season:
1) The Texans are going to the AFC Championship Game.
2) Jayden Daniels will have a C.J. Stroud-like rookie season.
3) Justin Fields will lead the Steelers to the playoffs.

Although these were bold predictions from Clark, all three are potential scenarios that could easily come to fruition during the 2024 NFL season, as Stroud has an upgraded roster on the Texans offense, Daniels could follow in his footsteps as a rookie QB with the Washington Commanders, and Fields leading the Steelers to the postseason isn’t beyond the realm of possibility.
The most likely of these three scenarios has to be the Texans getting to the AFC Championship Game, as they were one win short of that last year and could easily make that jump this season.
