The New Orleans Saints made a big move at quarterback during the offseason, signing Derek Carr.
While there are a lot of beneficiaries of Carr’s arrival in New Orleans, one wide receiver seems happier than most.
Chris Olave had a spectacular rookie campaign in 2022, and he is looking to build significantly on that success.
In a recent quote from the Saints’ website, Olave said, “I just want to be the best.”

He also mentioned, “I try to do that every day, stay consistent with my work and do everything I can to be at my best.”
With a combination of Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston at the helm last year, Olave was able to put up big numbers.
His 1,042 yards, 72 receptions, and four touchdowns were near the top of the class.
With a steady player like Carr in tow, how much more can Olave achieve this season?
A lot, if his most recent comments are any indication.
He mentioned catch strength, strength after contact, and yards after the catch as three points for him to work on in the offseason.
If Olave can improve in these areas, he should have no problems achieving bigger numbers this season.
Carr is no stranger to working with new receivers, as he had Davante Adams as a new addition in Las Vegas last year.
Adams was a massive feature of the Raiders’ offense, putting up 1,516 yards, 100 receptions, and led the league with 14 touchdowns.
