The Miami Marlins are having a surprisingly good season.
Not many people thought they would be competing for a division title but that is exactly what they are doing.
The Fish are 42-33 and are six games behind the Atlanta Braves for first place in the NL East.
For them to be this good, many would assume that reigning Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara is having a great season.
But that has not been the case.
On Wednesday, Alcantara got hit around for five earned runs in seven innings pitched.
He told Bally Sports Florida after the game that he needs to “keep positive.”
“I just gotta keep positive.”

Alcantara has struggled all year long, pitching to a 5.08 ERA.
He continues to be a workhorse in most starts but is not getting batters out at a high enough rate.
Still, the Marlins have no choice but to keep sending him out there every five days.
If Alcantara can get back to being the player we saw last season the Marlins can be a dangerous team.
Currently, their pitching staff is being led by Jesus Luzardo and rookie Eury Perez.
Those two along with the bats of Luis Arraez and Jorge Soler have kept the Marlins afloat.
While the Marlins do not seem like a serious World Series contender, they could always look to make a big move at the trade deadline.
Making the playoffs is hard in MLB but if the Philadelphia Phillies showed us anything last year it was that just getting into the postseason is all you need to make a run.
