The New York Jets are expected to compete at the highest level in 2024.
They have a championship-caliber defense and, as such, they should deliver right out of the gate.
They ranked close to the top in most major categories, and while they lost Bryce Huff, Haason Reddick is expected to report at some point once he settles his contract dispute with the team.
However, more than just being extremely talented, star CB Sauce Gardner believes the Jets’ defense features a lot of great people, adding that the group is pretty close to one another (via NFL Network).

Gardner is one of the best cornerbacks in the game, and while he gets some criticism for all the holding he does, he’s still a true shutdown player when tasked to go against the opposition’s best wide receiver.
There’s a lot at stake for the Jets in 2024, and plenty of people could find themselves updating their LinkedIn pages if things don’t work out for them this season.
No one puts their defensive potential in doubt, as they’ve always been great on that end of the field since Robert Saleh took the reins of the team.
The offense, however, has failed to catch up.
Still, with all the doubts about Nathaniel Hackett and his play-calling, having Aaron Rodgers and a plethora of playmakers on offense should do wonders to help this team’s case.
It’s Super Bowl or bust for the New York Jets this season; there’s simply no room for error at this point.
