During his two years in the NBA, Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors has played with many terrific players.
But he still has his preferences.
Speaking to Basketball On X, Barnes opened up about his favorite player in the Association and chose his own teammate, Pascal Siakam.
“I think I said it my first year, Pascal is my favorite player. Being able to score the ball at an extremely high rate…he got it all,” Barnes said.

Barnes has plenty of reasons to love what Siakam does on the court.
Last season, the Raptors big man scored 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists for the team.
It was arguably his best season yet and the second year in a row that he led the entire league in minutes played.
As for Barnes, he was solid as well with his average of 15.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
Both of these players were vital for the team but they will be even more vital in the new season.
The team has a brand new coach, Darko Rajakovic, and has lost its leader, Fred VanVleet.
VanVleet left the team for the Houston Rockets, creating a void in the roster – and a chance for both Barnes and Siakam to step up even more and take the reins.
These two will have to collaborate and play a bigger role.
For the last few seasons, Siakam’s name has been attached to multiple trade rumors.
If the Raptors aren’t able to build upon last season (they ended as the ninth team in the East), there is a chance he could be sent away.
Barnes is hoping this isn’t his last chance to perform with his favorite star.
