When people talk about the NBA in the 1990s, most say that Michael Jordan was the definitive leader in just about every way.

But in reality, it was his long-time teammate who secured a very important and impressive statistic.

According to StatMuse, Scottie Pippen had the most wins during the decade, earning 542.

That puts him ahead of Karl Malone with 538, John Stockton with 528, and Sam Perkins with 513.

These are the only players who had more than 500 wins during the 90s.

Most wins in the 1990s:

542 — Scottie Pippen
538 — Karl Malone
528 — John Stockton
513 — Sam Perkins

Pippen entered the league in 1987, playing for the red-hot Chicago Bulls alongside Jordan, Charles Oakley, Sam Vincent, and others.

In Pippen’s first season, the Bulls won the first two rounds of the playoffs against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons.

Just a few years later, the team would win three championships in a row, twice.

After winning six rings, Pippen moved on to the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers before retiring in 2003.

Pippen has always been considered the team’s number-two option behind Jordan, which makes sense because Jordan is still viewed as the greatest NBA player of all time.

But Pippen’s amount of wins proves that he was a hugely valuable player and that he has rightfully earned his place in league history.

This is why he was a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and is also a Hall of Famer.

The 1990s were a wonderful and wild time for the league with multiple icons of the NBA all competing against each other.

This is yet another reminder that Pippen was very consequential to the Bulls and was a massive part of their historic success.
