After a better-than-expected 2022 NFL season, in which the Seattle Seahawks saw veteran quarterback Geno Smith resurrect his NFL career and lead the team into the playoffs, many thought they would have a strong 2023 season.
Despite finishing the season with a winning record of 9-8, the Seahawks weren’t able to make the playoffs in the NFC, which was disappointing, as they finished third in a highly competitive NFC West division.
Even though the team is coming off a disappointing outcome to the 2023 campaign, Seattle aims to bounce back during the 2024 NFL season, which will be the first year without legendary head coach Pete Carroll leading the charge.
With Seattle competing in such a tough division with the reigning NFC champion San Francisco 49ers and the always-tough Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks need to ensure they are making all the right moves before Week 1.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Seahawks are bringing in former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tyus Bowser to join the team’s practice squad.

This isn’t a game-changing move for the Seahawks, as it is only a notable addition to the practice squad, where Bowser might not see time on the field during the 2024 campaign.
However, much like the rest of the 31 teams in the NFL, the Seahawks want to have as much depth as possible at key positions like linebacker, with the 17-game regular season being a grind and, at times, brutal in terms of injuries on a weekly basis.
