For many years, the Seattle Seahawks were one of the most consistent teams in the NFL.
They seemed to thrive during Russell Wilson’s leadership, and this team seemed to be a lock for the playoffs every year.
Now that Wilson is gone, and Pete Carroll is no longer their head coach, the Seahawks enter into the unknown, so to speak.
It is difficult to get a solid read on this team heading into the 2024 season, knowing they’re experiencing turnover on their roster and in their coaching staff.
Geno Smith has done a fine job under center for them in the wake of Wilson’s departure, but his long-term output remains to be seen.
As they wait to see how they’ll perform in the 2024 season, the Seahawks have added a veteran to their offensive line, hoping to help Smith get more time in the pocket.
As Ari Meirov recently highlighted on Twitter, Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks have signed Connor Williams, a center who has played for the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins in the past.

As Meirov mentioned, Williams is coming off a torn ACL, but with his progress in mind, there’s a chance that he’ll be ready for Week 1.
Having a solid offensive line has proven to be one of the most essential parts of a strong playoff team.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been said to have one of the best offensive lines in the league for many years, and have found success in the playoffs as a result.
Will the signing of Williams help the Seahawks get to that place?
