The Seattle Seahawks might be a playoff contender in the NFC heading into the 2024 campaign if they can put it together without longtime head coach Pete Carroll.

One of the major keys to success for the Seahawks will be veteran quarterback Geno Smith getting back on track and connecting with his talented wide receivers on a weekly basis, as it could be argued that the team has one of the best receiving corps in the NFL right now.

With D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Seahawks have the tools to have a prolific passing game, which will be complemented by a solid ground game with running backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet leading the way out of the backfield.

However, tensions seem high for the Seahawks right now, with Metcalf losing his cool during training camp and reportedly striking a teammate with a helmet, via JPA Football.

This is obviously an unfortunate turn of events for the Seahawks, which will likely result in discipline from the team, mainly due to the violent nature of the incident in which the fiery Metcalf lashed out at a teammate.

It’ll be interesting to see if this tension bleeds over into the NFL preseason and becomes a persistent problem for the Seahawks moving forward, as this is the kind of thing that no head coach wants to see, especially in their first season taking over for a legend like Carroll, so Mike Macdonald has his work cut out for him.
