The Denver Broncos have struggled to find consistency at quarterback since Peyton Manning left the team.
Russell Wilson was brought in as a veteran who had won a Super Bowl in the past, but for whatever reason, he wasn’t the right fit for the organization.
He is now gone from the team after just two seasons, causing them to reset the position entirely, hoping to start over.
The Broncos added two intriguing options to their QB room in the offseason.
They traded for Zach Wilson and selected Bo Nix in the first round of this year’s draft.
Nix is shaping up to be the starter, with Wilson slated to be a backup.
Even though Wilson might not get a chance to start, head coach Sean Payton wants to make sure he grows and develops in the meantime.
As Payton told Chase Daniel, “My job is to make you millions, whether with us or another team. His last two weeks have been outstanding.”
Broncos HC Sean Payton loves QB Zach Wilson and says he’s been “outstanding.”

Payton made it clear that he likes having Wilson on the roster, and enjoys the opportunity to help grow and develop him as a young quarterback.
He wants to further his NFL career in whatever way possible, even if it’s not with the Broncos.
Wilson was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but when the New York Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers, it was clear that his future with that franchise was limited.
Will Payton’s guidance and coaching help take him to the next level on a future new team?
