The Denver Broncos have been one of the most discussed teams in the NFL during the offseason.
After just two years with Russell Wilson, the team ended up cutting ties with him, hoping to move on and find better success in the quarterback position.
While fans and analysts saw this as a good move for the Broncos given Wilson’s lack of success with the team, it was unclear what the team’s next move was.
They did trade for Zach Wilson from the New York Jets, who does have starting experience, but he too, hasn’t been the most successful to this point.
All of these questions were answered in the first round of this year’s draft, as the Broncos took Bo Nix with the No. 12 overall pick.
After making this move, Sean Payton appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, providing insight into the selection.
Payton talked about a workout that he witnessed from Nix, saying, “It was impressive, I just remember we got in the car afterwards, and I just looked around and I said, ‘Are you kidding me?”

With this in mind, it seems like the Broncos were all-in on Nix from the start of the pre-draft process.
They didn’t have to trade up to get him, a positive sign for a team without a lot of draft capital.
It will be interesting to see how the next few years go for the Broncos.
They have had a difficult time gaining traction in the NFC West, especially given the dominance of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Will the addition of Nix help bring this team to the next level?
