The 2023 NFL season didn’t go as planned for the Denver Broncos, despite some optimism heading into the year.
Many thought Sean Payton would be able to help right the ship, turning this team around from the get-go.
However, Payton faced some challenges throughout the year, and the team was unable to get off on the right foot.
Some of that could have been some underlying issues with Russell Wilson, but the entire season just didn’t seem cohesive.
Their roster, by many accounts, was a mess, making it difficult for the team to get any traction down the stretch.
Despite their issues in his first season as head coach, Payton is confident that things are changing for the better.
He recently spoke about the team in a recent press conference, shared by Troy Renck on Twitter.
“Overall, the makeup and chemistry of this team is totally different from a year ago,” Payton said.

In Payton’s eyes, there is something in the water with this team.
Perhaps, they can turn things around and take a massive leap forward in 2024, despite the AFC West continuing to be a difficult division.
The Kansas City Chiefs, of course, are still the heavy favorites to win the division.
They have only gotten better during the offseason, and they will be a tough opponent to take down.
While the Los Angeles Chargers haven’t necessarily made any major roster moves, a new coach is expected to help them get back on the right foot as well.
The Las Vegas Raiders might not be a threat to the Broncos winning the division, but the other two teams who stand in their way are scary enough.
