There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is one of the best basketball players in the NBA.
But there are still times when his statistics blow people away, like during Serbia’s game against Team USA on Monday.
SiriusXM NBA Radio pointed out that in the nine minutes when Jokic didn’t play with Team Serbia against the Americans, Serbia was outscored 29-3.
Meanwhile, the score of the game when Jokic was playing was a totally even 81-81.
“This might be one of the best stats of the [Paris Games].”

Serbia just didn’t have the ability to score when Jokic was on the bench.
They had no way of generating points without their lead star, which is further proof of just how crucial he is to the team.
This is something that Nuggets fans are well aware of.
For years now, the team’s offense has lived and died because of Jokic.
When he is healthy and playing well, the Nuggets thrive but when he is hurt or on the bench, they struggle.
This doesn’t mean that Team Serbia is bad.
In fact, they held their own against the Americans at the start of the game.
But America has a better, deeper roster and they don’t have to rely on solely one player like Serbia does.
This statistic is more evidence of Jokic’s abilities and power.
Like the Nuggets, Serbia needs Jokic to be playing well if they have any chance of winning.
Serbia is hoping to score a win during their next game and hope they can keep things a lot closer, especially when Jokic is on the court.
