The 2023 MLB season is still young.

There is plenty of time left for things to develop, but there are some pretty crazy stats that people should be aware of right now.

Often times, when a player or team is performing a certain way, the experts and analysts will talk about them being on pace to finish with a certain number of hits, home runs, wins, RBI, and other stats.

While they typically do not finish exactly as they are predicted to, it’s still fun to see players on a certain pace to accomplish something.

On MLB Network, analysts took a look at certain players and their hot starts and determined what pace they are on for certain stats.

Patrick Wisdom is on pace to hit 76 HRs this season. Gerrit Cole is on pace to win 36 games.

Chicago Cubs star Patrick Wisdom is currently on pace to finish the 2023 season with 76 home runs.

The slugger already has eight to start the season.

His teammate, Nico Hoerner, is on pace for 86 stolen bases.

Yordan Alvarez has already driven in 21 runs, and the Houston Astros star is currently on pace to finish the season with 189 RBI.

Five-time All-Star Gerrit Cole is off to a fantastic start in his fourth year as a member of the New York Yankees.

He’s 4-0 with an ERA of 0.95 and is on pace to finish with 36 wins.

Spencer Strider has been striking hitters out at a rapid pace and is on pace to finish the year with 307 strikeouts.

These are just a few examples of players who are off to some very hot starts.

Obviously, it’s unlikely that they’ll keep up such a pace, but it’s certainly fun to see just how well they’re performing.
