Over the past two decades, NBA 2K has been a video game franchise that has endured the test of time while consistently improving its product by keeping up with technology and trends.
Much like EA Sports with Madden for the NFL, 2K Sports has dominated the market with its NBA video game, which showcases all 30 teams and the league’s best players like LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic taking center stage.
As usual, the upcoming release of the latest version is highly anticipated, with some exciting changes and upgrades made to the franchise.
According to a social media post from NBA 2K, one of those changes is the addition of one of the top NBA insiders, Shams Charania of The Athletic, reporting trades and providing special guest commentary alongside Kevin Harlan in MyCAREER mode.

Over the past few years, Charania has become a household name while battling fellow insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN for the distinction as the best in the business in terms of reporting trades, signings and rumors throughout the NBA season and offseason.
Charania is a popular figure among NBA fans and is one of the primary sources for breaking news, so this will likely be a fun contribution to the video game.
The latest edition of NBA 2K will be released on Sept. 6 and will be available on all the latest consoles for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo, as well as on PCs.
