The Indianapolis Colts have several guys to keep an eye on right now.

Jonathan Taylor will continue to be one of the best running backs in the game, and there are high expectations for Michael Pittman Jr. as well.

Needless to say, everybody will keep tabs on Anthony Richardson as well, as he looked quite impressive in the few games he was able to play during his rookie season.

With that in mind, Kay Adams wanted to know whether there was any sleeper or unsung hero on the team.

In her interview with Colts HC Shane Steichen for Up & Adams, she asked him if some of his players weren’t getting the kind of spotlight they deserved.

Notably, Steichen didn’t even need to think for a couple of seconds before raving about safety Julian Blackmon.

Who’s the ONE COLTS PLAYER that isn’t getting talked about enough headed into the season??

“(Safety) Julian Blackmon… I’m really looking forward to his season.”

The second-year coach claimed that Blackmon had a very solid season in 2023, but he’s now taken things to a whole new level.

He claimed that he’s been phenomenal in training camp and that he was looking forward to watching him take the field this season.

Last year, Blackmon made a big career move, going from playing free safety to strong safety.

He’s closer to the line of scrimmage, and he sure brought plenty of physicality and strength to that end of the field.

According to Pro Football Focus, he was one of the best in the game when it came to stopping the run.

He also thrived in coverage, logging four interceptions, two pass breakups, and limiting opposing passers to a passer rating of just 57.5.

Now, he wants to take things even further.
