Shannon Sharpe didn’t want to hear any excuses from the Golden State Warriors on Monday morning.

Stephen Curry and his team were destroyed by the Boston Celtics on Sunday, losing to them 140-88 in a defeat that can only be described as embarrassing.

Following the game, head coach Steve Kerr blamed the loss on a tough stretch of road games for his team.

On First Take, Sharpe didn’t buy that and said that Kerr can’t have it both ways, praising the Warriors by saying they can beat any team when they find success while also blaming defeats on being on the road.

Sharpe also went on to praise the Celtics and say they are really in a tier of their own.

Sunday’s game was the last of four on the road for the Warriors.

They previously played the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, and Toronto Raptors during the road trip and they won all of those games.

Perhaps they were tired, perhaps the early start time threw them off, or perhaps the Celtics just had their number, but the Warriors looked worse than they had in months during the game.

For example, Curry was limited to just 4 points, while Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Jonathan Kuminga could only muster 6 each.

Moses Moody was the only starting player to score double digits and he did so with just 11.

Only two other players in the lineup scored double digits, Lester Quinones with 17 and Jerome Robinson with 10.

The Warriors had been looking a lot better before this humiliating loss so they will want to bounce back as soon as possible.

They will be back at home on Wednesday and playing the Milwaukee Bucks.

Their job now is to rebound quickly and shake off this devastating defeat.
