NBA fans were left with their jaws on the floor Sunday during the crucial Minnesota Timberwolves-New Orleans Pelicans game.

People weren’t shocked by the game itself or the win for the T-Wolves, but instead by some courtside fireworks caught on camera.

Rudy Gobert punched teammate Kyle Anderson before heading home and missing the second half of the game.

Everyone is still talking about it.

Shannon Sharpe defended Gobert’s actions on Monday’s episode of “Undisputed”, saying that Anderson should have expected no less after using an expletive against his peer.

But Sharpe spoke to a much larger point about the dysfunction in the team and the lack of leadership.

“If you’re gonna be a leader, you need to understand how to motivate the guys that you’re asked to lead,” he said.

Sharpe said that every player needs a different form of motivation: some can take gentle ribbing, some need to be fired up and focused, and others need something a bit more intense and direct.

But no one will respond well to insults like the type Anderson allegedly hurled.

Sunday was a very rough day for the Wolves.

Not only did Gobert punch Anderson but the team lost Jaden McDaniels due to a hand injury.

The team was able to pull out a win and secure a spot in the play-in tournament but what will it look like at that point?

Will the front office choose to suspend Gobert when they need him most?

Will he and Anderson be able to put the past behind them and play together?

Can they shake this off and formulate a challenge to the Los Angeles Lakers?

There are many questions revolving around the team following this punch heard across the NBA.
