The Golden State Warriors had to win on Sunday afternoon or else their season was over.

Not only did they win over the Sacramento Kings in Game 7 of the opening round, but they won big.

Their dominant 120-100 victory was made possible by the hard work and leadership of Stephen Curry, who scored 50 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

He was so good that he was called a “virtuoso” by Shannon Sharpe on Monday morning.

“What Steph did yesterday, whatever praise or adulation you want to heap is more than deserved,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe is not the only person who is praising Curry after his stellar Game 7 showing.

The man led the entire game with his 50 points.

In fact, Andrew Wiggins had the second-most points for the Warriors and he scored 17, less than half of what Curry produced.

This was vintage playoff Curry, who has been here many times before.

Reports say that he gave his team an earnest, enthused pep talk before tip-off against the Kings, promising he would lead them to the Western Conference Semifinals if they all fought hard and put their faith in him.

Following Sunday’s big game, the conversation is again centered around how great Curry is.

There are many who think this once again proves he is one of the greatest NBA players of all time.

Now that Curry and his Warriors were able to come back from a 2-0 deficit and beat the Kings, it is time for the second round.

That means they will face off against another storied franchise: the Los Angeles Lakers.

Will Curry be able to drop another 50 against LeBron James and his crew?
