The Philadelphia 76ers have had another good regular season.
This is their sixth straight season of winning at least 43 games.
Over that timeframe, the 76ers have lacked playoff success.
But, they have never made it further than the Eastern Conference semifinals.
This season the Sixers are the current third seed in the East.
That means they are set to match up with the second-seeded Boston Celtics in the East semis.
Despite having some loaded rosters over the years, the Sixers seemingly cannot get to the conference finals.
This season they have league MVP favorite Joel Embiid, and a quality group of role players around him.
It is not far-fetched to believe this is the season the 76ers make a deep run.
But, Shannon Sharpe believes that Sixers are in for another disappointing postseason.
He sees them getting knocked out in the conference semifinals again.
“The Sixers aren’t in the ‘A Class’ like Milwaukee and Boston. Embiid will win MVP and the Sixers will get the 3rd seed, but that’s as far as it goes.”

Coming off a disappointing 117-104 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Sharpe thinks the Sixers are not in their class.
But, at some point, Philadelphia needs to have a breakthrough.
They have far too talented of a roster to continue getting knocked out in the second round.
All of the pressure will be on Embiid in the playoffs.
He has been the one constant force on the team through all these years.
Also, he is the NBA’s leading scorer and one of the most dominant players.
Despite being a fan favorite in Philly, Embiid will be graded on how he performs in the postseason.
For the Sixers to make a run to the Finals, they will need their MVP to play like it.
