The San Francisco 49ers have lost their last two games, bringing their season record to 5-2.
This recent slide has caused some to question their standing in the NFC for the rest of the season, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Jones has recently said that the 49ers “can be had,” a phrase that has not sat well with the majority of sports personalities.
Shannon Sharpe took these comments personally, which he recently shared on “First Take.”
Sharpe mentioned the Cowboys’ recent record against the 49ers, trying to stop Jones in his tracks.

“You know, Jerry Jones, yeah, you’re right. The 49ers might can be had. You just can’t do it. Remember over the last three years, you’ve gotten three cracks at them. How’d that turn out for you?” pic.twitter.com/U8rslBAfTA

The 49ers and Cowboys met earlier this season, a game that the 49ers won, 42-10.
In last season’s NFC divisional round, the Cowboys were again defeated by the 49ers, their second loss to them in the 2022 season.
While Sharpe might agree with Jones that the 49ers are not a perfect team, he was quick to hold a mirror up to him.
The 49ers might have some struggles at the moment, but in Sharpe’s eyes, Jones should not be the person to point them out.
Both the 49ers and Cowboys have positive records this season, as the Cowboys also sit at 4-2.
If these two teams continue to play at their current tempos, there is a possibility that they could meet in the postseason again this year.
The postseason is still several weeks away, but if this matchup does occur, it could be a major stake in the ground for either team in what has become a heated rivalry over the last few years.
