The Boston Celtics are a lock to run away with the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

They’re resting players and making sure to be at full strength in time for the playoffs.

That’s why some people don’t make much of the fact that they blew a 30-point lead to the Trae Young-less Atlanta Hawks.

Nonetheless, that should be a big concern for this team, at least, according to Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe.

Talking on ESPN’s First Take, Sharpe pointed out the fact that this very same Celtics team has blown multiple double-digit leads this season.

He argues that now, opposing teams will feel like it doesn’t matter how big a deficit they get into, they will always have a chance to get back in the game because of the Celtics’ tendency to shoot themselves in the foot.

He also pointed out that eight of their 15 losses have come after blown leads.

This is a valid point.

They shouldn’t be concerned about getting their nine-game winning streak snapped at this point in the season.

But this tendency to shoot themselves out of games is worrisome.

That’s why there continues to be major concerns about Joe Mazzulla.
