Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most popular and iconic NBA stars of all time.
His career in the league will go down in history as one of the most important and he is still one of the biggest names associated with basketball.
But O’Neal thinks he could have had a career in another sport.
On the latest episode of “The Big Podcast”, O’Neal said he could have been a wide receiver in the NFL.
Citing his “impeccable” hands, O’Neal said he could be the go-to guy in the red zone and could be there to catch the ball when his team needs it most.

Is O’Neal being silly thinking he could have been an NFL star?
Maybe being a team’s top wide receiver is a bit far-fetched but he could do some damage on the football field.
O’Neal is seven-foot-one and 325 pounds.
In other words, he is a very big man who could make his way through any sort of defensive line.
If an NFL team needed a wrecking ball, they could have had one with O’Neal.
However, is he the brilliant catcher that he claims to be?
He was a part of countless alley-oops during his NBA career, proving that he can think ahead and receive the ball from teammates.
But there is a massive difference between a basketball and a football.
O’Neal has always been a fan of football and is still spotted at LSU games, which means he knows the game inside and out.
He thinks he could have been a star on the field but we will never know just how much success he could have found playing football.
