After yet another on-court altercation with an opponent on the basketball floor, Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green was made an example of by the NBA, with the league suspending the four-time NBA champion indefinitely.

With Green’s suspension by the league being surprisingly harsh, there’s been a lot of mixed reactions as to whether it was the right move by Adam Silver and company.

Earlier in the season, Green got veteran center Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves in a headlock, resulting in an obvious ejection and a five-game suspension by the NBA.

Even though it seemed a bit harsh to hit the veteran forward with a five-game ban, it clearly didn’t make much of an impact or change the way Green plays the game or defends his teammates.

Interestingly enough, Los Angeles Lakers legend and NBA on TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal was asked about Green’s indefinite suspension by the league and his thoughts on the situation while on “The Rich Eisen Show.”

With O’Neal being no stranger to physicality or fighting while on the basketball floor during his playing career, he believes there’s nothing wrong with the way that Green has been playing, even though he’s threatening the health of opposing players with his out-of-control antics.

The Hall of Famer claims that Green has been playing this way the entire time he’s been in the league with the Warriors, and he’s not wrong, but it doesn’t make it right that he plays with this kind of reckless abandon that can hurt opposing players.
